I am vey excited to share this bachelor pad with you as it is one of my favourite transformations to date.
Located in the award winning ‘Altair Building’, this apartment was in it’s original condition. Having lived there for years and wanting to stay there for many more, my bachelor client made the decision to invest in his space to officially make it his.
It took a well-co-ordinated team of tradespeople to get this place looking like new again not only on the surface (with new flooring, electrics, paint, re-spraying joinery and tile resurfacing), but also functionality and usability of the internals of the joinery.
The icing on the cake is the entirely new furniture, lighting and homeware selections Designer Man Cave created to completely transform the space it once was, from tired, to modern minimalism. The finished product is a tailored, comfortable home that reflects this bachelor’s sense of relaxed style and lifestyle.

Here’s what our client had to say:
Kate at DMC oversaw the design, product sourcing and project management for the renovation of my apartment in May 2016. I interviewed a number of interior designers at the time and ultimately went with Kate as I felt she most understood the look and finish I wanted. The brief was to oversee a complete refit of lighting, furnishings, flooring etc.
The renovation was transformational and has made an amazing impact. I found Kate very detailed oriented and well organised and she has high standards for finishings which is essential when it comes to the project management piece.
If you are looking for a dynamic, sassy, stylish designer who can also manage the business side, I’d recommend you look no further. – Jon
